The black hue is achieved by coating the case in Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) using state-of-the-art Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques. This adds to the durability and scratch-resistant finish. The dial’s iconic Chromalight display uses phosphorescent film to improve visibility in low-light conditions, a crucial feature for divers exploring the ocean’s depths. The hour markers are designed with simple triangle, rectangle, and circle shapes with broad hour and minute hands to allow for easy readability. 

The Rolex 116613 comes with a 40mm Oyster Case fitted with a Cerachrom unidirectional rotating bezel to help divers precisely measure their dive time and decompression. The high-grip faulting along the bezel makes it easy to set dive time when the watch is damp, and the counterclockwise turning mechanism ensures a single bump won’t cause divers to surface sooner than planned or beyond the tank’s capacity.

Inside the Submariner’s 1,000-foot waterproof case, you’ll find Rolex’s stunning automatic self-winding 3135 caliber, crafted in-house. This COSC-certified Chronometer features 31 jewels to eliminate friction in the mechanism, and the mainspring offers a generous 48-hour power reserve. The sports watch movement also features a unique blue Parachrom hairspring, offering the ultimate protection against shocks and extreme temperature fluctuations. 

Completing the Rolex Submariner 116613 DLC-PVD is an eye-catching two-tone Oyster bracelet. The three-link bracelet is constructed from a stunning combination of DLV-PVD black stainless steel and 18K yellow gold and features a secure Oysterlock clasp.
